Ice baths- after extensive blog research I realized that all the cool bike racers take ice baths to flush their legs. Here's the recipe- sit in tub, get Ipod ready to go, fill cold water to above thighs, empty 3-4 bags of ice in, wrap towel around body, turn Ipod on loud, bite towel to get through initial 3 minutes of pain in your ankles, jam out to some tunes, sit for 10 minutes and then rinse off. Instant recovery! I don't know where these dudes are from but you definitely don't need to wear a speedo and you don't want to have any of your buddies over for this.
Air conditioning- Ours is out of commission for a few days. Don't be tricky and think you will be able to sleep in this inferno called Missouri. Self medicate. I bought another bottle of Los Cazadores te-kill-ya. I will sleep tonight.
Rest- After 4 sweet weeks of racing it's nice to rest. I rode to work on Monday and got a ride home so I wouldn't get my white kit wet and dirt-taay. I haven't touched my bike since. I feel lethargic and am rewarding myself with liquor and sweets. This weekend Jen and I are going to do a double St Charled Epic. Ease back into some training if you know what I mean.
Fishing- What I tend to do when I have alot of spare time when not riding. Farinella knows what's up- read my other blog if you think I'm joking.
